Kolkata Airport Lounges: Travel Club Domestic and International, Maharaja Lounge, Priority Pass and Card Access

Kolkata Airport has one lounge operator, Travel Club, which runs a lounge in each security hold area and a third in arrivals, and Air India keeps its Maharaja lounge for its own premium passengers. All three Travel Club lounges are open 24 hours, take walk-ins from about ₹1,000 to ₹1,800, admit children under four free and accept Priority Pass and the bank card programmes that replaced DreamFolks in 2025. Below, what each offers, who gets in and what to expect from three hours, as of September 2026.

Domestic Travel Club lounge

Airside in the domestic security hold area near Gate 22, on the mezzanine level reached by turning left after security, and open 24 hours. It is the busiest lounge at the airport, serving the morning bank of flights to Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Bagdogra and the Northeast, with a buffet of Indian and continental dishes, a bar, Wi-Fi, newspapers and flight screens. There are no showers and no sleeping area, and the maximum stay is three hours. Walk-in entry is about ₹1,200; Priority Pass, LoungeKey and most Indian premium cards with domestic lounge benefits are accepted.

International Travel Club lounge

Airside in the international security hold area near Gate 10, on the mezzanine to the right after security, open 24 hours and quieter than the domestic side outside the late-evening departures to the Gulf and Southeast Asia. The buffet and bar are similar, with a larger seating area; still no showers. Walk-in entry is about ₹1,800, and Priority Pass and card programmes apply. The Air India Maharaja lounge, also on the international side, is reserved for Air India business class passengers and Star Alliance Gold members.

Arrivals lounge

Landside in the arrivals hall near the exit gates, open 24 hours, with walk-in entry of about ₹1,000. It is the odd one out and useful in one situation: a family arriving on a late flight with a Rajarhat hotel booked and a driver still 40 minutes away, or a long wait for someone else’s flight. Card programmes cover it at some banks; check before you count on it.

Getting in with a card

DreamFolks, the aggregator behind most Indian bank cards’ lounge access, left the domestic market in September 2025, and banks have since moved to direct agreements or new aggregators. In practice the Travel Club lounges still admit HDFC, SBI, Axis, ICICI and other premium cards, but the mechanism has changed: some banks now require a pre-generated pass in their app, and the free-visit allowance per quarter has been cut on many cards. Check your bank’s current lounge page before you travel rather than relying on how it worked in 2024. Priority Pass and LoungeKey continue unchanged, with the domestic lounge listed under Terminal 1 and the international under Terminal 2 in their apps, a legacy of the old terminal names.

Tips

Three hours is the limit, so time your entry rather than arriving early and being asked to leave before boarding. Children under four are free and older children pay the full rate, which makes the Holiday Inn Express six-hour package in the day rooms guide better value for a family with a long gap. If you are connecting from international to domestic, remember the two hold areas do not connect airside: you clear immigration and customs, check in again downstairs, and enter the domestic lounge fresh. And if you want a shower, no lounge here has one; the retiring rooms in the sleeping in the airport guide do.

Three Travel Club lounges, one airside in the domestic security hold area near Gate 22, one airside in the international hold area near Gate 10 and one landside in the arrivals hall, plus the Air India Maharaja lounge for Air India business class and Star Alliance Gold passengers on the international side. All the Travel Club lounges are open 24 hours.

Children under four enter free. Priority Pass, LoungeKey and most Indian premium credit cards get in at no charge within their card's allowance.

Does Priority Pass work at Kolkata Airport?

Yes, at all three Travel Club lounges, listed by Priority Pass under Terminal 1 for the domestic side and Terminal 2 for the international side even though both are wings of the same building. Check the app for your card's current allowance and any guest fees.

Can I sleep in a Kolkata Airport lounge?

Not really. The Travel Club lounges have armchairs, food, drinks and Wi-Fi but no showers, no rest zone and a three-hour limit. For sleep, the retiring rooms on the mezzanine or the Holiday Inn Express across the road are the options, covered in the sleeping and day rooms guides.
